Therapy for Teens in Atlanta & Across PSYPACT States
I have worked with teens for over a decade, providing compassionate, evidence-based teen therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, school stress, social challenges, and family conflict. Adolescence is a pivotal and often overwhelming stage of development. Between academic pressure, peer relationships, social media, identity exploration, and family expectations, many teens feel misunderstood or alone.
I genuinely enjoy connecting with adolescents by meeting them where they are, whether that means talking about video games, music, sports, pop culture, or the impact of social media on their daily lives. When teens feel seen and heard in what matters to them, meaningful therapeutic work can begin.
A Safe, Supportive Space for Teens
In therapy, I create a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental environment where teens can openly express their thoughts and emotions. My approach to adolescent therapy focuses on helping teens:
Understand and regulate intense emotions
Develop healthy coping skills for anxiety and depression
Build self-esteem and confidence
Strengthen communication and problem-solving skills
Process trauma and difficult life experiences
Navigate peer relationships and family dynamics
Through a collaborative and developmentally attuned approach, I empower teens to better understand themselves, build resilience, and make thoughtful decisions aligned with their values.
Parent Collaboration in Teen Counseling
Parent involvement is an important part of successful teen counseling. I work collaboratively with parents to support their teen’s growth while maintaining appropriate confidentiality. Together, we create strategies that strengthen family communication, reduce conflict, and foster emotional connection at home.
If your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, academic stress, identity concerns, or family conflict, therapy can provide the tools and support they need to feel more confident and capable.
